Yarloop Team wins Murray League Division 4 Pennant

RISEN FROM THE ASHES. Above: Yarloop Team wins Murray League Division 4 Pennant. The team has struggled to field a team each week since the Yarloop Fire but managed to finish on top of the ladder in Murray Leagues Division 4 and then win against the big club of Halls Head. The Club is looking for Bowlers and if we have sufficient will move up Division 3 next season. As President for the difficult past two years I am extremely proud of my teammates efforts that also includes a few players not in the photo that helped out occasionally. The club is now strong again but we need more bowlers. To assist this our fees remain the lowest in the region and we would welcome more Bowlers to join us of all ages. The Club now has five sets of cadet bowls for juniors the most recent three sets coming from a donation from Workpower Incorporated. Schools are invited to contact us. The sport of Bowls has changed with our last Commonwealth Games players all aged under 25 and we have a vision to be able to have a junior competition teams locally. Ron Sackville.
